In 2016, Collins & Slagle initiated a collaboration with the Upper Arlington High School art department to showcase student artwork. Attorney Kathryn Traven conceptualized the idea and worked closely with Alicia McGinty, Co-Chair of the UAHS Visual Arts Department, to put it into place.
Our office provides a unique space to showcase the amazing artistic talent of the students, and the students see their artwork go beyond the classroom walls where it is enjoyed by guests of Collins & Slagle. The artwork is rotated two to three times each year. At each rotation, Collins & Slagle hosts a Meet the Artist reception for the artists and their families to formally present the artists and their artwork. Each year, Collins & Slagle also awards a scholarship to one of the featured artists.
The collaboration of Collins & Slagle and the UAHS art department provides recognition of the arts and stimulates, promotes, and encourages the creative spirit of the local community. We welcome you to come view the art on display and provide your thoughts on the specific pieces of art, as well as the project itself!
